Before Holmes could reply, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle suffered a fatal heart attack, and so this mystery remains the only one unsolved in the entire Sherlock Holmes canon.

Hi Ben, it had to be a 100 word story, so no room for ‘denouement’ as such. No, I hadn’t thought of finishing it, although now you mention it, I could make it up to a 2000-3000 worder, having read all the Sherlock Holmes stories in the past. If you’d like to have a go yourself, I’ll be happy to stick a link on here to your story!

Since you’ve read all of the series, I can’t think of anyone else who’d be more qualified to create a suitable ending, even if it’s a fan work, to do it justice 😉
After all, you’ve been exposed to all of his work- There’s a high chance of you adopting the style of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle to some level in your writing and hence, able to create a suitable conclusion for it 😉

Hi Ben, thanks for your reply and I’ll put it on my ‘to-do’ list! In fact I have The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes, His Last Bow, and The Conan Doyle Stories (non-SH, 1202 pp.) on a nearby shelf. He sure wrote a lot of stories!
